To present a business case which explores the feasibility of creating additional hard rock mining testing facilities in North West Queensland to support research and development by resource, explorer and METS sector businesses.

Approach

Our team established and executed a plan to research and deliver the required business case and supporting financials.  Leveraging previously developed testing needs analysis we undertook extensive competitor analysis, external and internal environmental analysis, developed potential business models, established the capability and capacity for testing in the NWQ region, and identified regulatory issues (land tenure, safety and environmental).  We also established a comprehensive marketing plan, risk assessment, compliance requirements, and complete financial modelling including forecasted P&L, balance sheet and cash flow and sensitivity analysis.

Outcome

Our client received a fully scoped business case and supporting financials to support sustaining and growing the current resources industry in the NWQ.
